Suite 9 at The Marketplace Suites

“We had a wonderful stay at the Marketplace Suites! It was clean, quiet and a wonderful respite after our adventures during the day. Walkable to restaurants and shops in Cruz Bay, conveniently in the same building as a grocery store, coffee shop, deli, pharmacy, etc. Would definitely stay here again on a future trip to St. John!”

“We had a wonderful stay. The room was large, spacious, and very clean, which made a huge difference for us, especially with children. The hosts were very responsive and helpful with every request. The kitchen was equipped, and the building is located in a commercial center with a supermarket, pharmacy, and deli right downstairs — incredibly convenient. Having such a spacious place was perfect for our kids. We would definitely stay here again”

“Place was HUGE. We would recommend house shoes as the first day we noticed our feet were black from walking around the place barefoot. I also had a hard time sleeping due to a buzzing (helicopter) sound you could hear in the bedroom. I believe it was from the near by water plant; my husband and daughter were not phased. We also had ants upon arrival due to a lollipop wrapper being left on the floor and the host was very responsive to come look at it. Would recommend and stay again.”

“Had a great stay here with my family. Could not imagine a better location on St. John for a stay; Two floors above the supermarket, ~10 minute walk from Roti King, 2 minute drive from Car Ferry, ~15 minutes away from Trunk Bay.”

“Pros-Great location on St.John. Right above the supermarket, where you can pretty much get everything available in mainland US. Place is spacious, well furnished. Managed by a company of some sort, not individuals renting out their space. They were responsive. Cons-Kitchen is tiny, can’t cook much except fix a simple breakfast. No supplies. So you’d have to buy them downstairs at the market. Biggest challenge was the humming, motorized noise (likely central air conditioning that was running always). Only 1 of 4 people in our family was bothered. Earplugs solved the issue. We were in suite 9”

“Great location wise on the island, wasn't really expecting to be above the marketplace, which was still totally fine just not what was expected. Huge room, very clean and directions were clear on how to get there. Only one small window in the place, so no views from the room. But great place to come back in AC from the beach to shower and easy access to lots of food and shops!”

The unit was modern, incredibly spacious, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed—plus plenty of extras we didn’t expect but truly appreciated. The location couldn’t have been more convenient, right next to a delicious deli, a well-stocked supermarket, and even a hardware store. Customer service was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and impressively responsive throughout our stay. We were genuinely surprised (and delighted!) by how easy and comfortable everything was. Highly recommend and would gladly stay here again!”

“Our stay at Marketplace Suites was wonderful! Very responsive host and place was much more spacious than the pictures showed. Everything was clean and the proximity within the same building of having a market and two places to eat was convenient. Would definitely consider staying here again if returning to St John! It was only about a 10 min walk to downtown in Cruz Bay.”

“This place was really great, I was very pleasantly surprised! Location is very convenient with a grocery & deli in the same complex. It was just a short drive to the beaches on the north side of the island. The inside of my room was similar to what you would enjoy at a Marriott property. Very clean, very new. There wasn’t a view from my room. I didn’t mind at all because I enjoyed the view from the sand. It was just easy to get everywhere. I really enjoyed this place!”

“This airbnb unit is extremely clean and located in a such nice complex. There is a supermarket on the first floor, and lots of stores and cafe/ice cream place on the second floor. It was not easy to locate using the instruction from the landlord, we had to ask the locals. The place is very close to the ferry port which is a plus for us who drove. The unit is as described, very modern, clean and my thought is it’s a relatively new construction. Owner was very responsive as well. Will go back for sure. Thank you Vacation VI for the hospitality!”

“After a rocky start at another Airbnb on our first night I got on their website and saw 2 units available (8 & 9) here. Great price considering our original accommodations. My reservation was confirmed quickly and check in instructions sent for a 3pm check in. Got there, grabbed the key from the lock box and walked in. My wife and daughter had ear to ear smiles and were literally jumping for joy! The AC was a cool 72º F, clean and comfortable with plenty of room and a very large bathroom. Also, there were daily power outages due to a underwater electrical feed cable malfunctioning but they have a generator for the building so we never had to worry about it. Thank you, Vacation VI, for helping us to fully enjoy our vacation!”

“Perfect location for staging on St John, we aren’t ones to stay in the room so not having a balcony or a view wasn’t a big deal for this stay. The location has a store downstairs and everything you need to pack up for the day exploring the beaches! The suite was quiet and beautiful inside, it was amazing and very clean!”
