“Location is fabulous! Grocery store in the same complex. Deli and gelato place in same complex. Easy parking.”

“This was our first visit to St John. The Marketplace was accessible through a quick open air taxi or walk. We loved the grocery and other amenities The cons were construction below our suite waking us up about 7 am. The workers got there at 6:40 blaring their music. It is a busy pass through and trucks constantly honking their horns. Pretty much the only con. We didn’t spend much time in the room so it worked fine. Great stay for the price!”

“Suite 5 was perfect for our group of 5, with 3 beds in 2 bedrooms plus a hide-a-bed in the living room as #4. Only one bathroom that you have to access via one of the bedrooms, but it worked out ok.”

“Location is pretty convenient with a grocery store, cafe and deli in same vicinity. Quick drive or walk to Cruz bay and Mango Mongoose. While linens and towels were clean. The floor definitely needs a deep cleaning. Stains everywhere. If you walk barefoot in the place, be prepared to have visibly dirty feet. Couch and lounge chair definitely need replacing. Besides cleanliness, the place was pretty nice. A lot of towels provided which is nice. Multiple dishes and appliances provided. Even dryer racks which is very convenient. Easy check in. Place is exactly like pictures (besides dirty flooring). Host is very communicative.”

“Great place to stay! Very clean, large 2-bedroom unit, full kitchen with cookware, convenient location-10 min fairly easy walk from downtown, located in same shopping center as grocery store, drug store, coffee shop and deli. Parking available. Watched fireworks and jouvert from our room. Would have liked a broom and dust pan (for sand) and more paper products (toilet paper and paper towels) for number of guests and length of stay. Only problem was getting locked out of unit after hours. Airbnb helped us get in touch with maintenance manager-no staff onsite. Company needs to change the type of lock box, too easy to change code without knowing. Overall, great experience!”

“The walk to and from the Airbnb to town was ok in distance but there is sewer water running right in front and the smell was uncomfortable.”

“The perfect location for your stay on the island! Anything you need is just a staircase away, and it’s an easy walk into town. If you didn’t want to walk, the Westin taxi drives right past the entrance. Parking is simple, the place was perfect clean and even bigger than expected, and it was the perfect stay. Responses are quick, instructions are clear, and I would stay here again any time!”

“Easy 10 minute walk to the restaurants and taxis in Cruz Bay. Very convenient to have a grocery store, pharmacy, deli, and coffee/gelato shop all in the build where we were staying!”

“Marketplace has a great location. It’s very secure very convenient above starfish market grocery store very clean and up-to-date. Everything was perfect. My only complaint was the pullout couch. Bed was terrible. The kids back hurt. You could feel the springs and the bars they actually had to sleep on the couch cushions. We highly recommend trying out the Italian ice cream downstairs. It is amazing. Our stay was all amazing except for the uncomfortable couch bed.”

“We enjoyed our stay. For us, it was walkable but I would advise getting a taxi to and from when you have luggage (we did not and it was a sweaty journey but we knew it would be). The space was clean and well appointed. The apartment complex is located above a grocery store which was super convenient and there are a few food options in the building as well which we utilized. Best croissants and gelato right down stairs! Despite all the building has to offer, the apartment area is very quiet, private, and peaceful. Staff responded quickly when we needed fresh towels. My only suggestion would be to have a broom or vacuum handy since we came back from the beach each day and inevitably it became sandy. I would have liked to be able to clean up each evening from the sand. It's about a ten minute walk into town which if you are able to take the walk, it really isn't bad at all and taxi's were willing to drop us off directly from the beaches so don't be afraid to ask. “My family and i stayed here for 3 days. Location: pretty close to Ferry drop off area but not close enough to walk there. It’s at the top of a shopping center on a hill. Walking with the heat might not be good for those with young kids. The supermarket is right below you which is helpful when you first arrive. There’s also a cafe on second floor that is good too. Property: It looked like the pictures. Everything was good but starting to show some signs of wear. The beds were comfortable but the lamps had issues with bulbs, felt like the living room did not have enough windows, the kitchen was basic with essentials, lots of towels were provided, had to ask for hand soap as it was missing and the tvs were tricky but they do provide lots of directions especially for bathroom shower. Responsiveness: We couldn’t get in touch with anyone to get us hand soap but we made due with the little bars of soap provided. Since it’s a company owned property it might take a while for them to respond”

“Perfect location. There is a grocery store, a pharmacy, coffee shop, bank, Deli and hardware store right there. Near a gas station. Plenty of parking. Felt safe all the time. Spotless place. I needed to extend the stay for one more day and had no problems.”

“Suite 5 was very spacious and comfortable during out stay. As for excursions it was a great launching point. The coffee shop, pharmacy and super market downstairs was convenient as well as the deli on the second floor (same as the apt.) was made getting whatever we needed a convenience. Host was very proactive in communication and very responsive to any questions.”

“This was a great location for our stay in St John! It is located in a center with shops and a market which was extremely convenient to get breakfast and coffee at the cute coffee shop on the same level but no noise issues at all at the Airbnb. It’s close to town but definitely need to take a taxi/drive. Airbnb was spacious and very clean. Highly recommend!”

“Beware????? Bloody sheets!!! During my stay I brought to the attention of the host that there was blood (yes; yuck) in the sheets. The host rather than addressing this tried to blame this on me and my family. This is absolutely disgusting and I’m appalled that these dishonest people did not attempt to address this with me directly but had the audacity to ask me to pay $100 for cleaning. What. The place felt safe. It had good windows and was walking distance from the ferry area at ST John. It is located above the market. There is a great bookstore that has some pretty good coffee. The surfaces were clean and overall the apartment was nice. The sad part is that instead of this host trying to address this situation honorably they chose to try and blame me for making this mess. I am more disappointed that such a traumatic experience for a customer was not handled with more intentionality. I hate to post a bad review and I wish the host would have just resolved this with me. I initially did not ask for anything from them also. I made no money requests, even though I was wronged and my health put a risk from sleeping in someone else’s blood. I have since filed a complaint with Airbnb!!! Check the linens if you take the risk of staying here and I’d recommend just checking out if there are any issues because they will probably blame you before taking accountability!!!”
